there's something soft and pretty about a pastel palette and a bit of shine or glimmer. it's a light and airy lift to a look or a space. a pastel inspired piece shown below will someday be most likely a wall hanging available in my shop. oh so many works in progress laying everywhere in my house right now.

every spring i look forward to the beautiful but fleeting magnolia soulangiana blooms (saucer magnolia). this year the gorgeous blossom color has been getting lots of attention as pantone's color of the year so it is easy to find ways to include the color around the house or garden. happy weekend to you.

spring is all about the flowers..there's an incredible sweetness in the air. it's making me want to update my wardrobe with something a little more colorful and jazzier. so i'm listening to jazz while imagining some rejuvenating color combinations out there. let the sweetness of spring inspire your week.

arrangements of lovely flowering branches are my favorite way to celebrate and acknowledge the onset of spring.  vases filled with gorgeous salmon colored quince branches are brightening several rooms in our house after an obliging neighborhood arborist allowed us to rescue an arm load destined for the chipper - serendipity! wishing you a happy and serendipitous weekend.
