labyrinths and mazes of any kind are incredibly intriguing and appealing to me. they make me want to stroll though and be surprised at what's revealed just around the next quiet corner, kind of similar to a treasure hunt. a topiary or culinary type of kitchen/potager garden maze is another little dream of mine. it's easy to see why children and grownups alike find patterns like these playful. have a playfully thoughtful week.

the california poppies are back, bringing beautiful color to the neighborhood and hillsides. i love how just a pop of the color orange has the ability to brighten and energize a space. wishing you a bright weekend.
