hmmm, not sure what the blog equivalent of 'dead air' is but sincere apologies for technical difficulties that prevented my post from publishing last friday! this week, i am noticing that i never seem to tire of a black and white palette. i love the way it perfectly compliments natural materials like wood or foliage, and how it plays off a touch of color.

finding myself drawn to the circle lately - thinking about cycles and completion as summer winds down and fullness and wholeness from feeling replenished and energized from time spent traveling and visiting with family and friends. wishing you a very happy weekend.

something urged me to create these dangling bits of whimsy below left - mini fanciful wreaths - to hang in a space that could use a pop of decorative detail.  i am drawn to particular color combinations that feel soothing, but not dull; and uplifting but not overbearing. add in a dose of charm or intrigue in form and texture and everything feels peachy keen.

visiting with family and friends in los angeles last weekend was so great as was just soaking up all that is l.a. including the wonderful street art and huge billboards. nothing like color or scale to make memorable spaces. wishing you a colorfully memorable weekend.
